Who can use this feature?
- Refer to user licenses for limitations
- Available on all plans
See all campaigns in one place across SuccessBLOCs, and use filters to further refine the results. For example, list all campaigns with an active status
with number of emails delivered
greater than 95%.
What you need to know
- Unlike the "campaigns" data points within the account or user objects, each campaign record in this type of object is not tied to a specific account or user.
- Data points within a campaigns segment are not editable (individually or bulk).
- When the settings are modified in a related campaign object, the campaign segment reflects the updates in real time* (e.g., campaign status changes from draft to active).
Updates to engagement statistics are updated once a day.
- The availability of campaign records are limited to each user's SuccessBLOC access within their team* (published SuccessBLOC or is a collaborator).
*Admins can additionally allow users to see campaigns from other teams from Settings > General > Campaigns from other teams [ON]. Admins can always see all campaigns, regardless of team or permissions.
Create a campaigns segment
Create a segment from the main search bar. You can also create new segments from any SuccessBLOC (Segments tab), the quick actions menu from the My Portfolio or account profile views, within the Global SuccessBLOC, or by copying an existing segment.
- Click the down arrow inside the search bar at the top of Totango.
- From the segment window, choose Campaigns under the System category.
- A new Untitled segment opens.
Suggested filters allow you to filter on the provided search terms in one click. For example, show me all campaigns with
Status
= Active. - Add filters to refine the list of results. Within the filter window, start typing the data point by which you'd like to filter.
- When you click the campaign data point you want to use, a new window opens to choose the filter conditions. Values and options vary, depending on the type.

filters, choose value(s) by role, team member, or manually entered email address. - Click Apply Filter when ready.
- The list of matching results appears. Continue adding filters and groups as needed.
- From the resulting data set, click Edit Columns to further refine the data shown the results.
- From the segment results, sort or search:
- Hover over a segment column to view sorting options.
When sorting mapped fields (i.e., flow, SuccessBLOC, or team), the system sorts by the related ID, not alphabetically by label.
- Use the search box to search by campaign name, description, or subject.
- Hover over a segment column to view sorting options.
- Click inside the segment name to rename and choose more properties.
- Location: Save within a SuccessBLOC or personal folder (My Folder) within the My Portfolio view.
- Privacy: Choose Public if you want the segment to visible to your teams when searching or using a shared location, such as a published SuccessBLOC. Segments saved to your personal folder are always private.
You must be a SuccessBLOC collaborator, owner, or global admin to save public segments to a SuccessBLOC.
- Click Save.
FAQs
Question: Can I export data for campaign segments??
Answer: You can export segment data just like other segment types. Please note that the Flow column values in an export are represented by ID instead of name.
Question: I activated a campaign today, but I see the "Activation Date" listed as tomorrow. What's the reason?
Answer: Totango uses a single time zone for all campaign events; this is the time zone set for your Totango service, not your personal local time zone. So, if you activate a campaign in a different time zone than your Totango service, the activation date might appear a day off. For example, if your Totango service is set to New York time and you activate a campaign at 8 PM in California, it will show an activation date of the next day.
This time zone difference only applies to data within campaigns segments. When you view the details of a specific campaign, Totango does show the dates in your local time zone.
