Use Totango to view or manage customer accounts

Welcome to the front lines! Here are the suggested resources to help you get the most out of Totango to support your daily workflow.

Become a Totango power user

Want to become certified? Enroll in the Customer Success Manager certification track in Totango Campus.

  1. Update your notification and profile settings: Totango sends automatic notifications for certain activity to keep you informed of recent happenings. Totango can also send touchpoints ad emails as well as send campaigns on your behalf, using information from your profile.
  2. Prioritize your day: Use “My Portfolio” to start your day. See activity for your all accounts in one place. Take action on early warning signals for account health or other critical events that are brought to your attention by Totango or another team member.
  3. Get account insights: Use account profiles to drill into details, health, and activity for a single account. An account profile may represent a company, line of business, or individual products.
  4. Prepare and share notes: Use touchpoints to prep for a meeting, log an engagement, and/or send an email. Everything you do is featured on the account timeline so that everyone else on the account team has visibility into your awesome work.

If enabled by your administrator, connect your email with Totango to sync engagements directly from your own Outlook or Gmail inbox. Alternatively, use email-to-touchpoint.

  5. Plan and track your work: If it's not documented, did it even happen? Use tasks to assign to-dos to yourself or other teammates, track timely completion, and add follow-up actions.

If enabled by your administrator, connect your calendar with Totango to sync events directly from Outlook or Gmail.

  6. Keep your customer data up-to-date: Anytime something changes, be sure to document field-level updates from within object-level layouts or from segments—individually or in bulk. You can add new contacts, too. These data updates help trigger strategic automation.
  7. Evaluate your book of business: Use scorecards, reports, and more to review and elevate business performance. Monitor customer journey progress, track health by account or group, and take action to lead customers to success.
