Lifecycle filter options

Who can use this feature?

Lifecycle status attributes allow the following options within segmentation:

  • Is one of: Find current stage and the number of days in the stage
  • Is not one of: Negation of "Is one of"
  • Changed: From or To another stage
  • Completed: End stage is marked
  • Does not exist: No value set

Additionally, you can use the "Days In" filter for any lifecycle status attribute to find the number of days in the current stage.

Use lifecycle filters

  1. Within a segment, campaign, SuccessPlay, or other segmentation engine, click to add a filter.
  2. Locate the lifecycle attribute you want.
  3. Choose the values you want based on the specific stage(s) you want to query on. Examples:
    • Customer Journey Stage changed in the last 5 days from "Onboarding"
    • Risk Status is "At Risk" for 30 days or longer (ever) AND* Risk Status was "At Risk" at least once in the last 90 days.

*When using "is one of" or "is not one of," the "in the last" days option looks to see if the status occurred at least once in the XX days. Using the above example, it does not mean that the status had to remain for 30 days within the last 90 days.

  4. Click Apply Filter to view the matching records.

Use "Days In" lifecycle filters

Lifecycle status attributes count the "Days in" a lifecycle status, after moving from the first stage AND excluding time when a status value is set to an "end" stage. End stages stop the time tracking of the lifecycle.

  • The "Days In" counter includes the total time spent in any non-start and non-end lifecycle statuses.
  • Once a status value moves from an end stage back to another stage (non-start or non-end), the "Days In" counter starts over.
  1. Within a segment, campaign, SuccessPlay, or other segmentation engine, click to add a filter.
  2. Locate the "Days in" attribute you want.
  3. Choose the values you want based on the specific stage(s) you want to query on. Examples:
    • Total days in (any) Risk Status lifecycle status (excluding start and end stages) at least 30 days.
    • Total days in (any) Risk Status lifecycle status (excluding start and end stages) was less than or equal to 150 days (at anytime) within the last 180 days.
  4. Click Apply Filter to view the matching records.
