Customize widgets with any attributes

We would like to display some account attributes in a specific widget, and place it where needed on the page. Some of our processes involve filling data about customers and keeping that data fresh. However we feel that there is now way to display that data in the customer account profile page, except in the key info and the value metrics. We would also like to see text attributes formatted in a readable way in this widget, meaning not cut to the first few characters.
