Custom metric Answered

Avi

I built an attribute called "balance" which get the balance of each of our customers, then I defined a custom metric to collect daily the value of the balance.

What I like to do is to track the decrease of the balance during a 30 days period (this directly tied to usage) which the system allow to do, but what I also want is to compare the last 30 days to the previous 30 days and that I don't know if it is possible to define, any idea?

    Hi,

There are several ways to do it.
You can track the changes in "balance" information in a segment by using the 'change' option in the filters

If you want to see the trend in time of the "balance" in the last 30 days, you can use a trend KPI or a report to present this info.

Let me know if I answered your need?
    Thanks

I used this method to create a segment to show me the change over 14 days.

This is great in the list view of the segment:

However, it would be even better if I could create a widget on the Dashboard that shows me number of accounts that increased, No Change and decreased.  I was hoping that a pie chart widget would be able to show that, but there is no way to pick the 'Licenses Metric % Change (14d)' as a metric when defining the widget on the dashboard.

    Any advice?

    Hi Cobus,

I would advise creating several segments of accounts with a license increased and account with a license decreased and using both to define 2 trend Scorecard KPIs as a dashboard. You can create more interesting KPIs by defining a percentage KPIs to measure the percentage of license increased accounts out of all accounts (and the same for license decreased accounts out of all accounts).
    Hope that's helpful.

Thanks Amit. I have 2 widgets for that purpose. I was hoping to be able to create a single widget with number of accounts  with increased licenses (number of growing accounts), and number of shrinking accounts.
