Yes!! Been struggling with timing an email to be sent after the first order "this week". Such a feature would be very helpful to solve it

Laurence and Ruthy can you help clarify with some examples? Are we talking about custom attributes and doing date arithmetic there or somewhere else?

There is no concept of "If then else" or "Scheduler timing" capabilities, so i cant build logic into Totango. But if you want to trigger an event based on the current date in between two other dates you can.

So. I load data on a weekly basis on a Monday, and i want to Success Play to run on the first Tuesday of every month and NO other Tuesdays, only once a month - think of it as a batch process.

So I want to fire a Success Play on the first Tuesday of every month...but how do i know what date is actually the first Tuesday of every month... i don't. But i know it appears between the 1st and the 7th day...So i can set the criteria to check and attribute between two dates, 1st to 7th, bearing in mind i don't want to the Success Play to run on the other Tuesdays of the month.

Now i can feed the current date into the data load, but that is just bloating the load files.

But if you could give me a system attribute call TODAY which always equals the current international date, i can set the Success Play to run when TODAY is greater or equal to a <Specified Date>

@Vijay -   I need this to filter for contract start date greater than current date/Today

This would allow for prep work/data validation on new accounts that are moved from prospect to client in SFDC but not yet ready to start onboarding. I know that we can manually change the date but I want to have segments preset for each CSM ahead.

Kylee this is possible today. I just sent it to our support person Megha as well. Let me know if this works for you

Hi Vijay - Thank you. Megha sent that to me but it doesn't work.  For me when I save it reverts it to 'day' = tomorrow vs what I need - Greater than today.  Note the part behind the pop out that shows it was originally set as recommended.  I don't need an equal but an option for greater than or less than current date.

    Vjay,

In the development stack you might want to consider a time window in advance of a future date....we do it today by setting flags on contracts but that isn't perfect.

    Scenario.

A client has 10 contracts, all expiring at differing times. But it happens that 5 are within a 45 day period.

If you set the Success Play to trigger 30 days before the renewal date to prepare the quotation, you would get 5 Success Plays for the same client in the 45 day period, which would be frustrating to both parties. Now I know you could set a segment to show contracts in the future or even set a process to tell the sales person to check forward, but people are lazy and tend to focus on what is in front of them.

But the ideal way is to set the trigger at X days before the contract renewal date with a view window of Y days looking forward (45) in this example. So when the Success Play runs you would see all the 5 contracts and work to align them to be more cost effective on all resource....FYI, there is no perfect scenario which is why the window should be variable, as there could be 3 other contracts at day 47,49 and 55...But there comes a point where the future is too far away and the client would probably say, well those are in the next budget month or quarter.

I see "Today" as a single select option, but what I really need is "Today" as an option in the "Between Two Dates" area.

This has very limited use for me:

But being able to choose "From the start of the year" to "Today's date" would be huge:

It would allow for very easy to create and maintain "Year to Date" (YTD) reports.
