    Hey Matt,

    Thanks for the suggestion. I agree on the need to target same users again for scenarios you described such as Engagement levels etc.

    However for NPS campaign you can set them up as recurring campaigns and it can be in autopilot. Since we support monthly recurring option right now you will need to segment users and stagger campaigns so they target users once or twice or quarterly and it is doable with our current functionality set.

    Thanks Vijay, however I'm now trying to set a recurring NPS Survey up, and notice on the recurring option that it states

    "Recurring campaigns are sent on a routine basis to the same users as well as any new users who have entered the target criteria"

    So what I'm looking to do is set up a monthly recurring campaign, but ONLY target active users who have NOT given us an NPS Score for 6 months. Not 'the same users' every month.

    For example, any Monthly Active User will enter the segment when the campaign starts, get sent the campaign, then 'drop out' of the segment until their most recent NPS Survey Response date (attribute) is older than 180 days (approx 6 months).  And the cycle continues.

    The above statement about how recurring campaigns work seems to tell me that it wont work like that.... can you clarify?

    Is there any 'best practice' documentation around this that I may have missed?

    Hey Matt,

    Thanks for the question. Glad to hear that you are trying out the new NPS feature... Here is one of the main criteria you can use to target users every 6 months using a recurring campaign.... you can of course add additional criteria for active users that makes sense in your instance... Let me know if this will work.

    Thanks Vijay, I'm familiar with the segmentation option.

    What is (or was) tripping me up is that the wording said it would send to 'the same users as well as any new users who have entered the target criteria' - I wasn't sure if it would 'remove' users if they have been removed from the target criteria on the next scheduled send.....

    I assume it will based on what you are saying?

    Yes Matt, for recurring campaigns, the criteria is evaluated fresh again before every occurrence and sent only to those that meet the criteria. This could be any existing users who matched criteria from previous occurrence as well as any new users.

    Matt if you see my message above yours I clearly state "recurring campaigns" not Ongoing campaigns. Sorry if I was not clear enough but I will repeat it here for clarity..

    Recurring Campaigns will target same users if they match the criteria at the recurring period

    Ongoing campaigns WILL NOT target the same users again.. It only targets the user once...

     

    As part of our effort to release CSAT campaigns we are working to enhance the Ongoing campaign to support repeat target of users but it is not released yet and we are hoping to have that out in 2-4 weeks.

    This feature has been released a few sprints ago. You can now send the same campaign to a user again in Ongoing campaigns with a new setting... You can read about it here. Please see the Activating and Scheduling section for the " target same users" checkbox option

    While this outcome may be achieved using the Campaign segment criteria, having Recurrence Pattern options of Annual and Semi-Annual right beside the other recurrence patterns (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) would be far more intuitive and simple.

    We've had this request come to us a few times on our side as well, and explaining the segment approach described above understandably tends to leave a sour taste in their mouth.
