Ability to search account names with special characters

Need ability to search by special characters in account names in the account name search bar in a segment and in the general search bar. We have accounts in APAC and their account names are in their language, which can't be searched with letters so there is no way to find these accounts in Totango.

  That would be HUGE!! A few people on our team struggle a lot with it and can barely use the system for a bunch of their clients...

  Bumping this one back up given some recent exchanges with our users. Special characters in global search present a challenge to our teams when looking for accounts. To elaborate:

  Totango recognizes special characters just fine. However, it sees the O with an accent or N with a tilde, for example, as unique and distinct from a regular letter O or N. The search just fails to locate the account since it's not a perfect 1-to-1 match.

  Ideally, if the user searches for "corazon" or for "facil," then Totango would also be able to return "corazón" or "fácil" within the result set.

  Hi Guy,  We had submitted a support ticket on this in Novermber 2019.    We were told this was a product enhancement, the support ticket was closed.  Is there an ETA on when this will be addressed through standard defect / bug fixing processes?   Do we need to re-open the support ticket?

  Is there any progress on this issue, update, or ETA which can be shared? Last post was over 8 months ago and best I can tell the Global Search is currently unchanged in its handling of special characters

  Guy and Vijay, Any update on this one?  continue to come up with our end users when trying to search any account name in global search that has a special character.   Several attempts at support ticket resolution on this gets bumped back to enhancement. Please advise.
