Remote Authentication with Google
Google G Suite users can now log into Totango through Google remote authentication (SSO), instead of using a Totango password.
To Login, simply click the "Login with Google" button on the login page and complete the authentication process with an email that matches your Totango user.
If this is the first time you are logging in this way, you will be asked to authorize Totango to access your Basic Google Info. Totango needs to know your name and email address in order to associate it with the correct user on Totango.
Make sure to use an email address that is associated with a Totango user. Otherwise, you will get an error message indicating the user does not exist in Totango.
Admins: Disable Login with Totango Password
Totango Admins can now prevent their users from creating a password directly on Totango. This security-feature is useful to "force" users to sign in with their Google or Salesforce credentials, ensuring that Totango access is automatically revoked once the user is removed from Google / Salesforce.
To enable this feature, navigate to the Settings | Totango Users page and select "Disable User Passwords"
Please note: Once you disable Totango passwords, all users (including existing users) will no longer be able to login with their Totango credentials, and will instead receive an error message directing them to login with a 3rd party provider. Make sure your users have access to an alternative login method.
Also, please note that at this time the Totango iOS app does not support 3rd party login, so this will disable access through the Totango mobile app.
